I ran it but like you, It said the virus wasn't there and when I ran another complete system scan the virus is detected. In this program you can click on the folder that is infected and let it delete that special folder. Infected media files may be downloaded on to the computer through file-sharing programs. Does this matter? Then after trying the suggested remove tool scan (and it not finding anything) a msg came up saying another music file I downloaded months ago had also been affected. I do have Norton on and it scans all incoming and outgoing mail, but feel insecure as it let the Trojan in the first place. Then click on user account control, and unclick the box on the UAC. I've read the whole string here, copied sections that are pertinent, heading off to fix my computer now. My only saving grace was examining the detail of the Trojan found and I just deleted the file.
Note 2:-- MBAM may make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection routine. And, it is taking FOREVER to shut down and reboot.
