I'm on a windows XP professional box…Any tips on how to get the ttf or otf files I need? Also, do you know of anyone using these fonts in a prepress environment?
If I can find a solution that allows me to do that conversion within DfontSplitter, I will of course implement it straight away. Useless searches came up with to change a font in word or in a theme... I researched and found I needed the MS Sans Serif font (sserife.fon) to fix it. Even if you output it as a .ttf, the website outputs Windows compatible .ttf's Great program! It is very baffling. file containing the fonts. Please do let me know if this process works for you and give any feedback -- especially if you'd previously had problems using a .dfont you had wanted to use on

Why don't you just look for a solution right inside of Font Forge? This has been available since Acrobat 9 Pro. at System.Drawing.Font.CreateNativeFont() at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(FontFamily family, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVerticalFont) at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(String familyName, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVerticalFont) at System.Drawing.Font..ctor(String familyName, English is the default language and the other installed languages are not active in the language bar.

You can clear it, have the fonts working for a day or two, and then the damaged fonts toast the database again and you're back to a non functioning Font Book.

What I meant was I still get the error report from Bitmeter after the boot scan, I also tried combofix. Many fonts are bold and the UIs are too big.
So its not the file causing the problem, its some registry mapping or something like that. I don't know to much about fonts in general. This has been driving me crazy for weeks. When Windows doesn't find that font, it starts showing the text using another variation of that font or the default font set in Registry.
I regularly have to use those fonts so going back and forth reenabling them just takes too much time and effort, and to be honest is driving me up the wall. Method #4 worked for me. With the component "Fonts: Hebrew bitmap & TrueType fonts" included in the image, there is a Font Substiture entry that is not there otherwise. Torri THANK YOU!!!!!!
