Have you tried disabling it? From the menu bar, click the Safari menu and select Preferences.... Firefox prompts you to set Firefox as the default browser each time it starts. So I doubt it's that extension.

I've seen many other users who have not been able to fix the problem via the above suggestions, so--what's the verdict? I'm really starting to lose faith in Firefox. Any difference? Thanks, Hello The problem is with "sleep". Technically, this is different than hardware acceleration, but just in case. even i remember recommending ppl abt it...but FF 4 is a real PAIN IN THE APPROPRIATE PLACE....
