And I tried to reboot my computer and I still have this crap on my computer... And I don't know what's going on what to do about this issue. Regardless of which button is clicked -- "Next" or "Cancel"—a download box will still pop up. I unchecked it. This website does not advocate the actions or behavior of Antivirus Soft and its creators.

I have tried a couple of the methods listed on here including renaming the file to firefox.exe but without any luck.As well as popping up with the various messages saying I McAfee Threat Center - Library of detailed information on viruses.

I scanned my computer and everything, and it says its cleanso does that mean my computers safe now? Then you can open and work freely without the numerous interruptions it causes. In the processes section, look for hpisstfav.exe or something close to that (I don't remember exactly, but the 'hpiss' is accurate) and end the process.
I was infected 01/29/10.
I would also suggest that people run a search for "sftav.exe" in their hijack this logs, click on the correct entry, and then fix the checked entry. After a reboot I got to regedit before it started, and removed the entries listed above. All Rights Reserved. However this one seems a bit more serious in that it is stopping most processes run in normal mode in XP (dosent this make it a virus and not spyware??).
